Photos

I am interested in authentic photographs from the Boer War Era. Below you see my only 2 photos so far. I have been told the Boers in the photos were from the Kroonstad Kommando.  The one with the Bandolier is supposedly Veldkornet A.J. Pretorius. Any further information on these photos are welcome.

    My mom’s father, hercules petrus spangenberg was in the kroonstad kommando in 1900. If you have any info on him please contact me. Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for the information. Me and my dad went throught the ABO’s and found what we believe to be my great grand father Johan Christian Kriek. My grand father was born in the free state on the 21st of June 1906 in Fickburg. It was especially interesting to see that the signature on the “Aansoek om die oologsmedalje” and my grand father is exactly the same and even the handwriting is very similar.
